Beautiful canal/lake tho needs a bit of a clean up. The cafe is temporarily closed. Free parking, can kayak etc in lake. Great place for dogs. Plenty of greenery for them to run around
This is a great little place, you can take all sorts out on the water at around £5 per vessel.
The Café is great, selling a wide range of food but the site doesn't mind you taking a picnic.
People seemed to respect the surroundings which is great, no litter or random dog cr*p around.
Dogs must be on a lead at all times.
There is a campsite as well right by the water that sectioned off away from the Day time public visitors.
Kids play area and also not far at all from the Sea as you can see from the pictures + Footage here:
Easy to find with Free parking, today we visited the Miniature ride on railway,5in Gauge. There were also Model boats sailing and nearby a Model Aircraft meeting with flying displays. Also visiting was a portable Garden Railway Group Layout from Gravesend Model Engineering Society.
Only stopped off for a few minutes. Remote, quiet, relaxing, just watching the world go by. Ideal for healthy walking and dog walking, along the front or through the Coastal Park. There's a seasonal cafe, can't remember the opening times
Lovely walk for taking the dogs. A lovely big lake for canoeing and paddleboarding. Plenty of space if you wish to camp
A brilliant place to learn paddleboarding. Only downside us the quality of tge water is pretty poor. Fantastic free hot showers to use if you do fall in. Don't fidget your wash things!!
Lovely place to visit. We recently visited in the evening and we were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves. Lovely walk and a play area for the children along with a great sand pit area with a sunken ship climbing frame. Definitely recommend a visit.
Great weekend away 👌♥️ good place to spend a day outdoors …
